The Shabby Tea Room #172 "Summer Breeze"

Summer is a season of warm breeze and great sun light. It is also a bright season with laughters. This year, it did become duller but it also made me think and grow tougher.
Grandma had left us for a better place this summer, and though I miss her, I pray she is gone for the better and that she will be happier... This season had been tough to balance the emotions, and for me who finds it difficult to voice my emotions, I decided to balance all these in my own way.
When I saw the challenge posted at The Shabby Tea Room, the fabrics and the colors just reminded me of grandma so much!
Her love and her gentleness were reaching out to me... and I knew I had to get started on an album and pen down all my happy thoughts of her.
Here is my take on the challenge. I used fabric on the covers, and hand stitched the gift bag album in place. Grandma used to do sewing when her eyes were good, and she has a vintage singer sewing machine in the house. I'm lucky to inherit a little of her interest in sewing.. For the insides of the album, I left ample space for photos and tags for journalling. Looks like my typewriter will be for good use in this album. The tags can be pulled out from the gift bags.
Here's a special note to Starr for hosting this challenge: Thanks dear, for the lovely photo and inspiration to get me going. You never know when you make an impact to other people's lives, but you just did. :) and of course to The Shabby Tea Room and the lovely designers, you girls always inspire! Keep up all the great works; they're appreciated! :)
So for peeps viewing my blog, do pop over and get inspired... :)
