Smiles

This time round, I wanted to showcase one of my favorite Magnolia stamps. It might not be a main focus stamp, but it does have a lot of meaning attached to the stamp. :) On top of that, I've also got a new stamp which I think will be present on all my cards from now on.

Dd was in Japan last week, and while I was missing him quite badly here in Singapore, he did got me some presents... I must be one lucky girl because he supports me in my scrapbooking craze quite a bit. (of course if he could help me financially that would be even better... Hehe... ) Yes, and he did remember I was looking for a stamp with my name. It's really hard to find one spelling STACY instead of STACEY. I've been hunting in Singapore, but over the years, my hope just went down. And he found it!

It's difficult to be showcasing a lovey-dovey kind of Valentine's Day card for me. I guess it has to be something to do with dd and my personalities. We both detest romance quite a bit. Haha, so if you are one looking for romance, never date an engineer. Oh well, this card will work well for my valentine I suppose. :)

Roller Coaster Happiness!

Be prepared this post might overrun a little - I'm overwhelmed with happiness!!!

And so I woke up today, feeling really happy because it is the special day for my dd and me. It's been 3 years - and even though he is not in the country this year, I can feel his presence beside me. :) And he said he wanted to bring me to Taiwan! How sweet! Hahaha - and he also told me that he don't know how to keep the cards I made for him - and so why not I help him keep.. LOL, I think his next present would be a box. Hahaha. That makes the anniversary present a lot easier this time round... Hahaha...

Then I also received news on moving on. That was why I was not blogging for some days now - I was busy signing the new contract and clearing things at my current work place. Though I cant mention anything much now, I can say that I'm glad to find the new job and I'll be having a very different job scope. But sad to leave some of the wonderful colleagues here... This is life...

Today happens to be my best friend's birthday as well - here's to you Jaze - Happy Birthday! I've already sent u an SMS and I didn't forget!

Well, enough rambling about my roller coaster life - but there's more good news!

LCOM #4 : Now and Forever

I had so much fun while doing this! Haha I was actually humming "Now and Forever" by Richard Marx... It's a all time favorite song..

The sketch was from LCOM #4:

And the added challenge was what i love to call glamour-stones! I was instantly hooked!

Here's my card:

Used rhinestones as the border to bring out my lovely digi from TGF - 50s Sweetheart. Added some liquid pearls too!

Was really pleased with the outcome, it's my friend's favorite color yet my most scared to attempt color... Haha I'd have attempted to put some turtles on it, but did not fit the theme so too bad, she won't be getting everything she likes... :)

Supplies:

Paper - Graphic45 (times nouveau-hip to the jive), Webster's pages (home for the holiday-december journal pp)

Embellishments - AC (Momentos Charming), Crate PP (Lemon Grass-epoxy buttons and shapes), 7Gypsies (best life autocollants), My Mind's Eye (Lush Green Rhinestones), K and Co (Handmade Ephemera Pack), Buttons Galore (Adventure Bound), Ranger (Liquid Pearls-gold pearl)

Stamp - Digi TGF (50s Sweetheart)

I'll try to put up some clearer pics tomorrow but since it's 1:30am now, I think I ought to get some beauty sleep first! :)
