===========================

Inspired by Pencillines Sketch 180 and in love with many many flowers recently, here's what I came up with.

Sunset
Description:
I have just developed a liking to taking pictures using my own handmade film camera. And this picture was taken from my hotel in Jakarta. Somehow I never stopped to view the sunset before. It reminds me to stop and take a look at the beauty around me, no matter how busy I get in life, time never stops.

Supplies:
[7Gypsies] gratitude and wish stickers

[Oct Afternoon] road map stickers
[Hambly SP] Autumn Breeze
[Prima Mkting] tea roses santa rosa and pebbles cailloux
[AC] thoughtful remarks stickers, thickers, fliar adhesive badges, sheethouse chipboards, dear lizzy spring collection - sunny spot and humble honeybee

Close ups:

This has been a very fun LO, using flowers that have been in my collection for very long time. And of course, never missing out on my Prima flowers. :) I stitched and cut flower stalks. This has been fun!
===========================
And of course, the winners for the giveaway friday!

For the lovely 2 gals who posted on my blog post, Sindy and Fiona, it's hard to pick from the 2 sweet gals, so instead of 1, I'll give 2 RAKs! Hehehe. I find it a little hard of time to post the pictures of the RAKs, so I'll do that a little while later okie?

So Sindy & Fiona, please drop me an email indicating your address, and I will send the RAKs to both of you! :)

Hope you'll like the RAK. Thank you gals for popping by, and you gers rock with your LOs! :)

Inspired by ICS Sketch58 & PencilLines Sketch178 - Pressie for Irwin

When I got hold of the photo, I immediately had a lot of ideas in mind. Not exactly the most difficult ones, just simple ones to make something for a simple person like Irwin.

Part I
I wanted to make a box and a card to accompany the simple photoframe. So I did some blog hopping... Hop hop hop... Then I came to this. So inspiring! P/S: The designers are superb! Should go take a look yeah...

Here's what I came up with using the sketch, not one but 2! The box and the envelope were designed based on one sketch. See how inspiring that is?

Close Ups:

Part II
Pencil Lines has a special guest designer Cari Fennell from Prima Marketing for this sketch. The ideas came in immediately to my head... LOL. And plus I'm quite a fan of the flowers and pearls from Prima Marketing... LOL.

Supplies:
Prima Marketing: flowers, pearls
Maya Road: chipboards
7Gypsies: Orchestra PP
American Craft: journal stickers
Cosmo Cricket: Ready Set Chip

Close Ups:
So there! This is a simple project... Hope Irwin likes it! LOL, I have not passed this to him yet.. Anyways here's hoping he'll do well in his test today! Long live the teachers! :)

SB Fun with Leena & Yinwen.. Beary Fun... Pencillines...

My weekends had been scrappily fun!

Last Saturday, I joined the social SB session by Yinwen, and boy I was glad to have made some SB friends through the event. In Singapore, there is really little chances of getting together and I'm glad we spent some time gossiping about the techniques and different purposes on SB-ing, while also completing a LO with the goody pack from ScrapbookCarton! I've also learnt useful techniques, like how to layer with more embellishments! Happy... i also found someone to share the SC kit with me! hehehe! Finally, I can start on the kit... Love it to bits! And this is what I've managed to achieve at the end of the class. And since I loved the sketch at Pencil Lines Sketch #172, I've used it to generate my LO. :)

Pencil Lines Sketch 172 and Social Scrapbooking

So I returned home feeling happy, and decided that I should come up with another LO to complement this LO. Hehe. So.. Here goes the flipped Sketch 172 from pencillines. Unfortunately I've to respect the decision of the person in the photograph to mosaic it... LOL. He says it looks ugly. I thought it was the person more than the skill of the photographer. Well... (hehehe!)

Some of the close-ups of Back2Back....
and here's Face2Face close-ups...
==================

Saturday ended with dinner with dd, how other way would I want it to end the day with? Hehehe. Of cos it was a great day!
Here's my reward of the night - a whole plate of HUMS!
==================

Another crazy sunday with loads of fun! Attended the canvas + LO class with Leena! Finally got to meet her after seeing her wonderful blog. The class is wonderful! We had lots of "flicking" fun, and made use of mists etc... Was a very educative and fun class! With a very welcoming host aka teacher, and her lovely son Ethan, who is so fun and friendly! (Oooh I love it when he shows up at the windows! And he absolutely loves paints!)

See the happy faces? We had loads of fun!
My very own piece of "art" which I adore....
==================

Special thanks to Leena and Sindy for helping me with the "love-shaped" lights mystery! Check out Leena's blog or the website suggested by Sindy for more tutorials! I'll try my hands on it once I can find some time off from my schedule... Looks very fun! I cant wait!
==================

And while I am travelling on the roads, here's what I've been up to.... It's boring to spend the trip sleeping or just gazing into blank spaces, and the journey is long... So... here's what I do to fill the empty moments and to accomplish something for my dd....

My Vdae Project...

Currently, it's completed! As of last night actually. Hahaha. And my dear daddy gave me a wonderful comment. "It actually looks nice!" hahaha.... He hardly tells me what I do is nice. Wait till he sees my canvas project featuring my grandmother and grandfather (from Leena's Class)! Hehehe. Yesh, I am working on that.... :)
==================

Last week I did my finishing touches to my LO based on Pencil Lines Sketch #171. Have you ever done a LO and realised it looks somehow wierd? I dont know, mine did.. But anyways, it's made by me. Hahaha. Probably a wrong day... LOL.

Pencil Lines Sketch #171
And some close-ups...
Phew... That was a long blog that took me an hour! Kinda pictures overloaded, hope it was easy to digest. LOL. I'll try not to clutter so many things over one blogging, but it's difficult to find time to upload the pictures, especially over the weekends. And also special thank you to all who left their congrats to me in email and comments... :)

Now now, back to work - ultrasound testing on the way... Wonder if i could see what lies beneath my tummy? Maybe I'll see a million worms swimming in my stomach eating up all the food.... Argh. I'll tell u more after the testing... Hehehe...

Pencillines Sketch 170

Walking out of my scrapblock has been an amazing experience. Here's my LO inspired by Pencillines Sketch 170. I love the neat and clean sketch, and it really didnt take me long to decide on this LO. Do try your hands on this!

Pencil Lines Sketch 170

Description:

This picture was taken when dd & I just got together. I had another LO done for dd, but never got started on my set of 4 expressions. 2 years later, I finally got to it. :)
That's why the title seems to blend. 4 expressions, denoting also the time I fell in love with dd....

Supplies:
Prima flowers painterly petals hydrangees; 7 gypsies 97% complete document stickers; KnCompany Wild Saffron autocollants dimensionnels; American Crafts Jewelry Box thickers ;Cosmo Cricket Nature Walk; rest are own collection.

Pencillines Sketch 169

Honestly, I am excited that I finally got over my scrapblock. Or that comfort zone. I was very much inspired by this sketch.. (Though the new sketch is already out, I know I know...)

Jast - A name we call ourselves

I just started with the LO but had no title or journalling in mind. Finally when the LO was nearly done, I just thought of the deer and the sun... hahaha.. Quite true. So my journalling goes like this:

Do a deer, a female deer
Ra a drop of golden sun
Jast a name we call ourselves
Fa a long long way we walked....

Jaze and I always go to Orchard on a photo taking session. It has been two years now. I had fun. I loved those photos we took. It's her presence or her craziness that matters. :)

13 April 2009 Pencil Line Sketches #129 & Pink Sketches #27

School is stopping soon, and my exams are coming up next.. I won't have a lot of time to be there for DD and friends, and most of the time would be spent with my schoolmates. I'm aiming for Bs this year, so I will be putting in a lot of effort for the studies. But I promise to meet up and catch up with my dear HUIs... Sorry for being missing in action, I really missed ya gals...
As & when I'd be posting some random photos.. Here's another batch of LOs done quite some time back, so I'm posting them up. If you're reading my posts, feel free to let me know your presence yah?
