Box Card with Xyron

Hello crafters! Today I am sharing a box card which I have done recently. There is so much fun going on at my craft table with all the small bits of details! Now, with my Xyron in place, adhering small / intricate diecuts are easy!

Here's the box card which I have created:

I like box cards! It can be flattened to mail for your intended recipient as well! It is such an amazing gift to receive! I arranged the elements such that it is also balanced when closed.

There are so many small elements in this project. Xyron just makes life easier (and fun)! No mess, no fuss. Just drop your diecuts to the Xyron and pull the tab. Viola! You get a full backed adhesive to those hard to glue die-cuts! Perfect adhesion at all times. I used my Xyron for the envelopes, hearts and alphabets die-cut in this project. Life-saver!

Hope you like the box card I have done, and find some inspiration for your next card project! :)

For those who are looking for the Xyron, you will be able to find them in Made With Love very soon! Dies used in this project are from Made With Love.

Thanks for dropping by my blog today!

MWL Workshops: Wedding Album (July - August 2016) & Chunky Star Album (Last Call!)

Exciting! This month, Aida and I are collaborating on a wedding series for you! Here at Made With Love, we are inspired by theme Wedding!

In Singapore, most couples like to get married in September. This is a hot wedding season, since it coincides with the 8th month of the lunar calendar. For the Chinese, the 8th month is an auspicious month. So we thought, why not come up with a wedding series?

While Aida is working on the wedding ang bao box, I am working on the wedding album to complete the theme! Want to know more about what Aida is making? Go check out Made With Love page for more details!

Here is my wedding album:

Sized at 8x10", this is one album which packs a punch! Check out the samples at Made With Love today!

Here is the reason why we got so inspired with the wedding theme. Recently, Aida was very kind to help me with my wedding box for my traditional wedding. Boy it took my breath away! Both hubs and I were over the moon with it! Here's a look at the wedding box she had made for me for my wedding:

Gorgeous! I am so in love with it! Yes, and this was what sparked off our wedding series idea!

On another note, I will be having 1 last class for Chunky Star Album in august 2016 due to some requests for additional class slots! Thank you so much for your love! I enjoyed this workshop very much. There is only very limited kits left!

This had been an inspiring and creative season of love! Looking forward to seeing you at Made With Love! Limited classes and kits available. Don't miss out! Check out MWL facebook page for more details!

Maya Road: Time Flies - Constructed Clock Piece

It's my turn again up on Maya Road blog with a home decor - constructed clock piece - today.

By chance, I happened to be in Ikea a while back, and I stared at this clock for nearly 15 minutes. It costs me less than SGD1.50 and I was wondering if I could alter it.

After bringing it back home, I started digging into my supplies and found the inspiration to dismantle it instead! The tomboy in me started to dismantle whatever I can lay my hands on, again.

Using Maya Road Chipboard Book - dress form, I took out the piece with the bottom stand for this project. This time round, I decided to use napkin decoupage for a softer look.

A maya road mask (I must have used this many times over!) - Soar Butterfly Mask - was added to create the wings for my dress form. This mask is repainted with gold and sealed with a paint sealant.

I then made a hole in the center of the dress form to encase the clock in the center.

Items used:

MR Chipboard Book - Dressform
MR Time Flies Clock Transparencies - Black
MR Metal Arrow Clips
